Max Rated: This rating is used to show what the maximum work the pump can do. It is the peak value

Full Rated: This rating is used to show the true work the pump can do.

Total Head: Is the distance between the pump and pool x 2. The further away the pool the larger the size of the pump required to achieve the work needed to filter, santize and clean your pool.

We use the Northstar pump simply because it out performs all other pumps. It has a 10 year warranty on the pump and a 3 year warranty on the motor. No other pump manufacturer comes close.
